#GOSSIPING 27.01.2019

Did you know that many scientists believe it was the art of social gossip that first set us apart from the other animals? That’s how we formed intimate groups and learned more about the important things in life. We’d like to continue that tradition in our area of expertise, so here’s just a taste of what’s happened this week in the world of marketing:

Clever campaigns: Fancy a different elevator ride?

A large part of good marketing is doing something new that sparks the imagination. Havas’ new gimmick isn’t even open to the public, but the story and photos are enough to generate buzz online and make the brand name reach around the world. They decided to pimp out the elevators for employees at the London offices, making an elevator ride a trip down nostalgia lane or a nightmare for those with a fear of heights.

The elevator remodeled to look like a 70s Disco gets employees dancing on their way to and from work while another designed to look like you’re falling down a long elevator shaft (!) certainly gives a better rush of energy than a morning cup of coffee. This experiment in the impact of design and reaction to the unexpected has circled the globe online. Very clever.
